Cookery schools


Our in house Cookery School is a fantastic experience and offers something for all food lovers: classes for beginners and experienced cooks, wine tasting sessions, and demonstrations by visiting chefs. Packed full of hands-on cookery hints and tips, inspirational recipe ideas for both everyday cooking and for when you want to push the boat out and produce something special.

Fish with Gillian Reacord
Gill Reacord our local fishmonger has been driven by an honest passion to enthuse and educate others to enjoy seafood. In this hands on class Gill will guide you through her tips and techniques.
Includes lunch from the ingredients you have prepared. Wine included.

Desperate housewives
Don't know your sieve from a colander? This fun class will teach you enough to get by and resist the temptation of 'ping' cuisine.

Student Survival
You've fed and watered them for the last eighteen years and finally they've got to stand on their own two feet.
Equip them with the basics to fend for themselves on our Student survival cookery class. They will master simple pasta dishes, learn how to make a good chilli and more recipe ideas that won't make too much of a dent in their (or your!) wallet.
Includes lunch from the ingredients you have prepared.

Sauces
Discover the art of creating a range of both sweet and savoury sauces including classic hollandaise, proper mayo, creme anglais to name a few.

Butchery with Martin Fowles
This course will show you how to tackle different cuts of meats. The course is led by our local butcher Martin Fowles who will be demonstrating and giving you hands on experience to enable you to master the art of butchery.
